Bluthner Concert Upright

This Bluthner Concert upright is one of the finest upright pianos that the Bluthner Company ever made. It was sold from the famous Harrods Piano Department in 1923, the sale of which can still be traced with the Harrods PLC.

This beautiful instrument was one of the very last Bluthner upright pianos to be made with their famous overdamper mechanism. Unfortunately it was in very poor condition, so we made the decision to bring it up to date by fitting a brand new underdamper mechanism, thus improving its performance and longevity.

It has a wonderful tone and we have kept its original french polish casework, by carefully restoring it, in keeping with its provenance.
